The 407k-x2 was Holosun’s entry into the micro pistol optic category. It is ideal for those that want to use it for concealed carry pistol applications. It can directly fit onto Sig Sauer’s p322, p365x or p365xl (AND not to be confused by the regular p365 which would need an adapter plate), and it’ll also directly fit onto the Mossburg 940 tactical. To mount this on other pistols such as Glocks, Springfields, Smith & Wessons, FN’s, whatever other brands… you’d need an adapter plate or a special slide.
407k Specifications
The 407k is 1.6 inches long and slightly under an inch in width and height. The window is 0.58 by 0.77 inches.
The body is made of aircraft grade 7075-T6 aluminum and has a waterproof IP67 rating. It weighs an extremely lightweight 1oz.

Battery Life & Brightness
The 407k has a long battery life with up to 50,000 hours on setting 6. The battery is easily accessible through the tray, which is mounted on the side of the optic, meaning you can change the battery without dismounting the optic from the slide and having to re-zero it after battery changes.
Holosun’s Shake Awake Technology helps save the battery life by shutting the LED off durings periods of motionlessness, which your able to edit the time it takes to shut down in the settings menu, and all it takes to turn back on is a firm tap. If you pick it up off a table or take out of your holster, it’ll reliably be on.
Reticle & Settings
The reticle on the 407k is a 6moa dot with 12 brightness settings, 10 daylight and 2 night vision compatible. The brightness is controlled by the two flushmounted buttons on the side of the optic.
Obviously the plus means brighter and minus lowers the brightness. The flush-mount buttons help ensure that you have a consistent brightness or you can use the lock mode by holding down the plus button for a few seconds. The dot will blink to confirm lock-mode is on or off.
How To Zero In The Red Dot
The 407k comes zeroed in from the factory for 25 yards, but it also has two turrets for adjusting the elevation and windage.
Elevation is at the top and windage is on the side of the optic, and again the adjustment tool is included in the box.
Each one of the turrets has one moa click per adjustment, which you can feel when you click through the settings.
Final Thoughts
Overall, Holosun’s red dot sights are becoming more and more popular because they combine quality and affordability backed by a 3 year warranty on the material on the electronics.
So it’s no surprise the 407k is a best seller in the micro pistol optic category. If you’re looking for more info about the 407k or other optics, check out FreedomGorilla.com
