Finally, the interlocking pins secures the cover so it won't fall off even with heavy recoil from handgun slides.

Note: Important Information

OpticGard Covers may not be compatible with backup sights that are mounted in front of the optic. Sufficient space is needed for the cover to latch onto the front of the optic housing.
OpticGard will add approximately 0.08 inches (2mm) to the sides of the optic. If using in conjunction with a holster, please make sure there is sufficient spacing between the holster with the cover on.

I put it on and took it off.

Not a big fan of it now that I actually see it in person. I’m sure it would be a great protector but it makes the optic bigger. Others may love it but it’s not for me.

Would have given OpticGard a 5 star but found that when racking the slide using the fingers and palm method turns the optic off. The flexible covers for the + and - buttons are creating enough pressure to turn the Holosun optic off. Without the guard never had the optic turn off racking the slide.

Seems like it will work as advertised

Seems like it will work as advertised. Initial fit with front screen in was a little snug anspushed the “-“ button on the brightness level but I think as time passes it will flex enough it shouldn’t be a lasting issue. Time will tell but overall satisfied with the product.

Awesome Protection

Purchased this cover for my Holosun 507K and it fit like a glove. Unlike some of its rubberized counterparts, this is a solid fit. You can remove the front optic cover plate and use the red dot with the cover remaining in place. It does cost a bit more but in my opinion, it is well worth it. As usual, Freedom Gorilla was great to work with.

OpticGard for Holosun 507K-X2

Fits like a glove! Easy to snap on and take off and easy to put the lens cover on as well. Scope cover does not interfere with the iron sights at all and the buttons for adjusting brightness are easy to use. With the lens cover on it helps with dry fire to keep both eyes open to see the target and the dot on the target. For me it helps with dot acclamation and carries over to when the lens cover is removed.
I would definitely recommend it to everyone for protecting your Holosun sight and helping with your dry fire training.
