It is a low mount so great for pistols with rails or carbines that need a low rail.

Just What I Needed to Mount Sight Onto a Ruger MkIV

I was given a Holosun HS407K X2 but it did not have the base so I could put it on my Ruger MKIV. I did a bit of searching and found this one, so I took a chance. Shipping was quick and it arrived with no issues. Once I had it opened, I had the sight mounted in just a matter of minutes. Having the two screws that secure the sight to the base was a good touch. I definitely will buy from Freedom Gorilla again.

There were a few unfavorable reviews on this product, but I figured I'd try it. The fit was perfect for my needs and the main complaint of other reviews in that the screws stripping was not a concern. I just didn't crank the screws down to an unreasonable degree.

1911 conversion kit or Ruger MK I / II? This is your mount

I have a 1911 with a Marvel Precision .22lr Conversion kit with rail and a non-tapped Ruger Mk II with an aftermarket clamp rail.

I wanted to mount red dots on both and this Pic mount is the answer. It locks down when torqued to 15 in/lbs and hasn’t gone anywhere after several hundred rounds on each one.

Not the best.

I guess for the money it is ok. I mounted it on a Ruger M4 22/45 that has a picatinny rail on top. It just did not fit very well. Will see if it holds 0 and go from there. The Optic fit perfect to mount.

Mount is fine but screw are horrible.

The mount does what it needs to do but please don't use the included screws. Torqued them down to about 15 in-lbs and one stripped, soft metal. Glad I put the 407k on instead of the EPS Carry.
