I have a Holosun optic of one type or another on all my long guns. This was my first venture into optics on handguns. As my eyes age, I have finally had to go from 80 years of iron sight shooting to optics.
Like all Holosun products, this is a well built, sturdy, reliable optic with plenty of features. Well worth the money.
The problem comes with trying to find the correct mounting plates for your optic to mount to your slide. I am mounting mine on a Springfield 1911 TRP operator with the AOS system. It requires an A12B plate, which has a rear sight as part of the unit. Everyone I have checked on, including Springfield Armory, is out of stock.....and have been for a while.
This is not necessarily a slam on Holosun....but, in general, their needs to be more attention paid between the optics manufacturers and the weapons makers to mating the optics to the weapons.
