I was apprehensive about a holographic optic on my pistol because I have an astigmatism. My rifles have either LPVO or Prism optics because red dots give me trouble. I see a ring of dots or MOA circles instead of a clear dot. Prism optics don’t give me that problem. However, in researching the SCS Carry, it specifically only comes in a Green reticle to accommodate astigmatisms.
Freedom Gorilla offered great customer service and fast shipping and they even price matched a lower price that I found online. I purchased the smaller screws they advertise and I’m glad I did. The SCS Carry mounts directly onto the P365 slide and yes you can still “barely” cowitness the iron sights.
The optic functions as advertised. It really is a set it and forget it optic. No battery to worry about with the solar CHARGING, not solar fail safe. I like that. The reticle has auto illumination. I can see the reticle perfectly fine in daylight or night, or even in shade looking into daylight.
I can actually see the green reticle without much distortion, and with my glasses on there is no distortion at all. I like the compact size of the SCS Carry, it isn’t even noticeable carrying AIWB yet I still see my targets in the window.
This is my first pistol optic and my first Holosun purchase. I can verify that this is a quality product and Holosun did a very nice job. The glass is clear too, despite being made in China. I am very pleased with my purchase and with the service provided by Freedom Gorilla and I would definitely recommend them to others.
