Holosun 507 Comp vs 507C X2 Footprint
The Holosun 507 Comp and the 507C X2 both have a Trijicon RMR footprint. This is a very common footprint and this means that the 507 Comp or the 507C X2 will fit on any slide cut for a Trijicon RMR or any adapter plate that is cut for the RMR footprint.
Holosun 507 Comp vs 507C X2 Size & Intended Use
The Holosun 507 Comp and the 507C X2 have somewhat similar dimensions except for their window. The window size on the 507 Comp is much larger as you can see in the photos. It's much taller and wider than the 507C X2 window.
This is because the 507 Comp is a competition shooting optic. It's meant for competitive shooting, and a bigger window can help a shooter be more accurate and faster on target acquisition.
Both the 507 Comp and 507C X2 are intended for use on full size and compact pistols due to their larger size and footprint. If you had a sub or micro compact pistol, you would want something like the Holosun K Series.
The 507C X2 is meant to be a more all around every day carry optic, while the 507 Comp is intended for competition shooting. The size of the 507 Comp, may make it impractical for EDC.
Holosun 507 Comp vs 507C X2 Deck Height
The deck height on the 507 Comp and the 507C X2 is the same. The deck height comes in at about 9mm. There are slightly different bevels, but the height is the same.

The Holosun 507 Comp and the 507C X2 have different reticles. The 507C X2 has the Mutli Reticle System (MRS) and the 507 Comp has the Complete Reticle System (CRS).
The MRS and CRS reticles are similar, however there are some major notable differences.
The CRS Reticle does not have has marks on the outer ring and has more reticle combinations than the MRS Reticle. The MRS Reticle has a 2 MOA Dot, and a 32 MOA Circle. You can use the 2 MOA Dot only, the 32 MOA Circle only, or both together.
The CRS reticle has a 2 MOA Dot, an 8 MOA circle, 20 MOA Circle, and a 32 MOA Circle. You can use just the 2 MOA Dot, or just one of the circles, or both the dot and circle together.
Both the 507 Comp and the 507C X2 come in red and green reticles.
Holosun 507 Comp vs 507C X2 Battery Life
Both the 507 Comp and the 507C X2 have the same battery life. They are rated at 20,000 hours when using the CRS or MRS reticle at setting 6. If you used the 2 MOA Dot only on either of them, the battery life shoots up to 50,000 hours.

Holosun 507 Comp vs 507C X2 Which is Better?
As you can see there are quite a few differences between the Holosun 507 Comp and the 507C X2. So which one should you get?
Well it depends. The 507 Comp is a competition optic, it’s made and designed for competition shooting, not so much concealed carry or as a carry optic. Can it be used that way? Sure, however it is quite large so that may be an issue.
The 507C X2 on the other hand is intended for more of a daily use, daily carry optic. It has features like solar failsafe and auto brightness which the 507 Comp does not. It’s also smaller and more concealable than the 507 Comp.
As for the reticles, the CRS and the MRS are in some ways similar. The CRS doesn’t have the little “hash” marks on the reticle but both the MRS and CRS have similar benefits of being able to pick up the dot when drawing the weapon by using the larger outer ring. The CRS just gives you a few more options.
Another factor to consider is price. The 507 Comp is $60 more than the 507C X2.

Conclusion
We hope it is now clear how the 507 Comp and 507C X2 are similar and different. The true intended purpose of the 507 Comp is to use for competition shooting and the 507C X2 is meant for more daily everyday carry.
With that being said, the larger window of the 507 Comp is very nice and if you did want to carry it, I’m sure you could.
