Both the 407C X2 and the 507C X2 have an RMR footprint. So if you have a slide cut for a Trijicon RMR or and adapter plate that lets you fit a Trijicon RMR then this will fit on it with no problem.

Dimensionally the 407C X2 and 507C X2 are exactly the same. They share the same housing, have the same sized windows, and have all the same features like manual and auto brightness, shake awake, solar failsafe, etc. The only difference is the reticle.
The 407C X2 and 507C X2 are larger pistol optics, so they are intended for use on full size or compact pistols. They are not intended for smaller, micro compact pistols and in most cases will not fit due to their footprint.

Well here are some things to consider. The M.R.S. reticle is pretty cool. It gives you some options, you can use the 32 MOA circle only, the 2 MOA dot only, or the 32 MOA Circle with the 2 MOA dot. The larger 32 MOA circle also makes the reticle a bit easier to pick up when drawing the weapon.
However, the 407C X2 is $65 cheaper than the 507C X2, so if you are budget conscious and are ok having a 2 MOA dot only then the 407C X2 is a great value.
For some people all they need is a 2 MOA dot.
