The Holosun SCS PDP is a solar recharging direct mount pistol optic that fits directly on a Walther PDP 2.0 slide cut or Walther PDP F-Series.
The “SCS” (Solar Charging Sight) series from Holosun is an innovative design that gives this optic an internal rechargeable battery with a 20K hour power reserve, a solar panel that recharges the battery, and a sleek low profile footprint designed specifically for the PDP 2.0 slide cut and the PDP F-Series.
The end result is that you get a very sleek, very low profile optic that allows you to co-witness your low iron sights, lets you match the look and aesthetic of your pistol, and allows you to eliminate the need for using adapter plates by attaching directly to your optics cut slide.
This optic will fit directly on the slide of any Walther PDP or PDP Compact with a 2.0 optic cut, or the PDP F-Series. No adapter plates are needed.
The SCS PDP is made out of 7075 T6 Aluminum, it has a green MRS Reticle (multi reticle system), and has a super low profile design. The MRS reticle features a 32 MOA outer ring and a 2 MOA center dot.
The SCS PDP has advanced ambient and downrange light sensors. It has an auto brightness setting and a manual override setting in which you can press the side button and get increased brightness for 30 minutes if ever needed.
The solar charging tech works like this. The battery stores power, in this case it can store 20K hours of reserve, the solar panel charges the battery. With this system, the solar panel charges the battery faster than the battery drains. This means that you have a theoretically infinite battery life.
These optics do not come with “shake awake”, they are intended to remain on all the time - a true set and forget it type of optic. (Although you can turn them off if you like)The battery charges with both natural and artificial light. If you were to go to the range one time per year, that is enough to charge the battery from zero to full. If you were to then put it inside of a safe with zero light, the battery would last for 2 years.

This optic has a green reticle. Green has a few benefits:
- Green reticles are less straining for the eye to see.
- Green reticles can help with astigmatism. If you have astigmatism you will see a blurry dot, we have been told by a few customers that Green dots help with their astigmatism, making the dot look more crisp than the red version.
- Green will not washout on backdrops like green grass, foliage, or green colors.
- In theory Green dots can have a longer battery life because Green is brighter, so for example a green dot on brightness setting 6 may be the same brightness as a red dot on setting 7 - which would save battery life.

Bought the PDP and due to no optic plates in the box had to either wait for walther to send one or buy one at over $50. Needed it for a class I am taking so I ordered the scs and paid for the next day shipping. Optic showed up on time and the fit and finish is awesome! Time will tell if it holds up and works as advertised but first impressions are👌. I’d definitely order from them again.

This is the best optic out there for the PDP, direct fit without a plate. Sits low and stock sights will co-witness. Great transaction with Freedom Gorilla as well.
Really impressed with this optic fit! No adapter plate needed for my Walther PDP-F 4” bc direct fit onto the slide. No worries about another layer thad might works its way loose. Also love the solar panels for recharging capabilities and the reticle choice. Nice and compact for carry purposes.

The Holosun SCS PDP is the perfect optic for the PDP F series of pistols. Fits great, co-witness with the sights and matches the slide cuts on the pistol perfectly. No batteries to replace, just get it some light and no worries about the optic no being ready when needed.
The fit, finish and quality of the Holosun SCS green dot is great. In a world of plates and mounting screws to have a sight designed to fit the optic cut of a specific handgun is really smart. I have an SCS on a Glock 19 and Walther PDP SF. Both snap in place and look like they grew out of the slide. They sit low on the slide making
co-witnessing automatic. I was an iron sight guy so this dot feels very natural and intuitive.
The downside for some may be no brightness adjustment but in bright sun and low light indoor ranges the SCS adjusts and I don’t even think about it. I actually find the green dot easier to use than the red.
I have never shot so well, as with this red dot. This was a new optic on a new Walther PDP F. After warning up with about 8 rounds, the remaining 32 rounds were either in the bullseye, or 1st ring outside it. I am normally just an average shooter, certainly not a good shooter, and am a 70+ yo lady with vision issues. These results were directly attributable to the optic, I do believe.

Perfect on my PDP compact. How it picks up on light is amazing. I do notice the green dot is more blurry than some of my red dots, but that could be my specific eyes.
