Understanding the Ruger RXM Multi-Footprint System

Unlike most pistols that use a single fixed cut, the Ruger RXM footprint is designed to adapt to you. The slide features several screw holes and utilizes sets of removable pins that act as recoil bosses:

  • RMR Pin Set : Use this for larger optics like the Holosun 407C, 507C, or Trijicon RMR. Note that these optics will have a slight overhang on the sides of the slide.
  • DPP Pin Set : Designed for the DeltaPoint Pro footprint. This is the pin set to use for the Holosun SCS 320, or Vortex ST/XL series.
  • RMSc Pin Set : Use this for smaller CCW red dots with a true RMSc footprint, like the Osight SE. These sit flush with the 1" slide for a much sleeker profile. Important Note on Holosun K-Series/EPS : While these use a modified RMSc footprint, the Ruger factory pins are too tall for the optic to sit flush. You’ll need to use our RXM-to-K adapter plate to avoid having to file down your factory pins.
