I purchased a
HS407K X2
a few months ago. I installed it on a MAX 9 a few days ago. It eats batteries in 24 hours or less. I am going to attempt to return it for an exchange or refund. It came with a battery that only lasted a day or so. I thought it was the battery. Since May 6th I am on my 3rd battery that I purchased after the factory supplied one failed. I put a new one in this morning. I went back to see if the shake awake function was working, it had died and will not turn on at all. Reluctant to put another good battery in it to watch it drain in a couple hours. Not a good look for Holosun, sorry to say. My Cyele's function perfectly and have for over a year now at half the price. Sorry but I have to give this 407k a fail.

Mounting was very easy and the sight works extremely well.

Current eye conditions (age and replacement lenses) have made focusing on a pistol front sight nearly impossible, so the advent of a projected (dot) that remains clear and distinct has improved response time, accuracy and shot placement dramatically.

I see little difference in the size between the Holosun 6 MOA dot and other 3 MOA sights.

I consider +/- 6 inches at a hundred yards is allowable tolerance for pistol usage. Aim with the base of the dot for long-distance (>50 ft), and hold direct-on for everything else.

Outstanding product. I like the size (fits S&W Equalizer well), and in particular the side-battery door. It would be nice if a ‘captive-screw’ could be devised to ensure the battery compartment tray screw could not be removed/lost/misplaced.

Got the item I ordered. Will be shopping again for future purchases. 👍
