I have not had a chance to mount the unit I purchased from Freedom Gorilla; still waiting on the mounting plate to arrive. I considered other makes and models, but I eventually came back to the same decision to purchase the 508T a second time. I found Freedom Gorilla during my latest search for reviews on Youtube. IMHO the only other real competitors are the RMR = more $$ or the 509 closed emitter. I have tried others and even own a few, but the 508T seems to fill most of my needs/ desirements in a pistol slide mounted optic. I really considered the Green reticle, but Red is better w/ NVG or NOD. My friends and family really like the ability to change the reticle to their preference = BIG selling point. The only question that remains in my mind is: what will customer service be like if I ever do break it. I hope their customer service would be on par with Leupold ( excellent ), Sightron ( very good ), and Aimpoint ( a dept of ONE / Maytag repair man ).

Holosun 508T-RD-X2 Red Dot, 32 MOA Ring & 2 MOA Dot, Side Battery, Solar Failsafe

I installed my Holosun 508T-RD-X2 on a FNX 45 Tactical and activated it on 4-28-23. Initially, it was very impressive: clear glass and crisp bright circle and dot. However, I had a couple of issues with the sight over several days and E-Mails were exchanged between me and Mark and Paul of Freedom Gorilla. They were very patient and guided me through the difficulties I was having. They assured me if the problems could not be resolved they would be happy to exchange this red dot for another. Happily, with their help I learned what I was doing wrong. I really like this red dot, but I am more impressed with the people I had contact with at Freedom Gorilla and I will look to this company for any future optics I might need.
