Holosun AEMS 221301 MRS Green Dot 65 MOA Circle + 2MOA Dot Solar - AEMS-221301

In general I've been impressed with Holosun products and the SCS sitting on my Glock 10mm has inspired me to try the AEMS to replace the 503 I had sitting on my WWSD 2020 AR. If it's anything like the SCS performance wise I suspect I'll be super satisfied.

I really want to like this optic and have it work for me. So far it doesn't. Background, it's mounted on a tri-rail that also has a Viridian green laser on it. Right now the laser, the AEMS and a bore sighter are all optically aligned at 25 yrds. Using the laser only I get 1" or less groups. Using the AEMS, I get a 4" group that is 2" low and 4" to the right. This is baffling me and others at the range. The AEMS comes with a torx screw that is used to mount to the pic rail at 20 inch lbs. I have a calibrated Proto and WERA bits for this. The AEMS screws being a torx don't let me get to the right torque before the bit starts to float and strip the torx screw head. I asked Holosun to send me new screws (they sent the short ones) and haven't sent a long one that's needed. Basically, the screw isn't up to the task being a torx and of weak alloy. Freedom Gorilla was awesome when they heard about this and offered to replace my entire unit right away. I declined because it's not their fault. I've ordered some better screws from McMaster-Carr to fix the problem Holosun won't.

Amazing product smaller then the Eotech, but does the job. Service and shipping was superb
