The SCS MP2 is made specifically to fit on the S&W MP2 Full Size and Compact models (will not fit 1.0 or Shield models). The S&W MP2 CORE mounting system is a system where the slide is cut for an optic and has adapter plates. The SCS MP2 eliminates the need to use the adapter plate and mounts directly to the slide. The SCS MP2 also has a thinner deck height than the 507C and is slightly smaller in size. It's window is the size of a 407K/507K if you've ever seen them. The low deck height in combination with not needing any adapter plates allows you to co witness factory iron sights because the optic will sit low. The other main difference is that it doesn't have a removable battery, the battery is internal and rechargeable. It also doesn't have the shake awake feature, so you would just turn it on when in use and turn it off when not in use. The battery at full charge will last 20,000 hours and the solar panel (when it sees light) charges the battery quicker than the optic consumes battery. It's housing is made out of aluminum

The SCS-MP2-GR (Solar Charging Sight) fits the Smith & Wesson M&P-M2.0 full size/compact handguns (will not fit 1.0 or Shield models). It is designed to attach directly to the slide without an adapter plate and uses our innovative solar charging system with multi-directional light sensors to automatically adjust brightness in dynamic situations. The SCS can potentially operate indefinitely using an internal, rechargeable 20,000-hour power reserve meaning under even moderate exposure to bright light, you will never need to change batteries again. The SCS also includes an intensity override function which locks the optic into a high brightness mode for 30 minutes and a low power indicator, which will signal if charging is needed upon system start up. Additionally, our Multi-Reticle System (MRS) displays a 32MOA Circle or a 2MOA dot or both.

Freedom Gorilla was great. The response and shipping time was terrific. The Holosun SCS for my S&W m&p 2.0 compact carry is not as good as I hoped it would be. There is a starburst on the dot so you have to switch the reticle to a circle or circle dot since there is now way to manually adjust the brightness. For the money I paid, I’m disappointed.
The fit and finish are perfect
Great sight so far. Time will tell after I shoot it. Still waiting on a magazine release to be sent from Smith and Wesson. Nothing yet, even though I called in my issue 20+ days ago. Optic fits great. High quality and AMAZING optical properties! However- I can’t really shake the rig out until S&W figures out why the magazine ejects itself every 3 rounds or so. This pistol shoots lights out when it’s not self-ejecting its mag with our hand meat no where the mag release button. S&W contacted. They said they’d send a new magazine release “to try”. I haven’t seen anything yet. This is a pretty massive mistake on my end to trust the name of Smith and Wesson. I’m out nearly $900. Ugh! Live and learn I say. 🥲💸

Got it for my compact comp. Fits the slide perfectly. Didn't have to wait long for it. Was delivered within a few days of ordering. Only downside to this optic is not being able to dim the the dot since it's an auto bright only. Works great and like that it's solar powered.
Love this optic, direct mount to the slide and the green reticle makes for easy acquisition day or night!
Got it for my Smith & Wesson SPEC SERIES V M&P 9 METAL HD, fits perfect with no adapter plate, love the recticle easy to see, doesnt interfear with factory sights.
Haven't had a whole lot of time shooting with the new optic yet (Holosun SCS MP2), but the installation was super easy - and with the help of one of the Freedom Gorilla videos, I got it zeroed in pretty easily as well. Main benefit to this optic is that it's a direct mount so no need for mounting plates. I also like the muliple reticle option as well.
