The Primary Arms PLxC 1-8x24 FFP RDB is a premium low power variable optic built for shooters who want red-dot-like speed at close range with the precision and flexibility of a true first focal plane 1-8X scope. This model features Primary Arms' Red Dot Bright® (RDB) diffractive reticle technology and the versatile ACSS Griffin MIL G2 reticle.

Part of Primary Arms' top-tier PLx optics line, the PLxC combines premium Japanese ED glass, a compact and lightweight body, AutoLive® motion-sensing illumination, an ultra-wide field of view, and a first focal plane reticle that remains accurate throughout the entire magnification range.

Red Dot Bright® Diffractive Reticle Technology

The PLxC RDB uses Primary Arms' Red Dot Bright® diffractive reticle technology, which delivers a bright, highly visible center aiming point while maintaining the functionality of a first focal plane etched reticle.

This illumination system is designed to provide red-dot-like brightness without sacrificing battery efficiency. It is paired with AutoLive® motion-sensing technology, which helps conserve battery life by shutting the illumination down during inactivity and automatically reactivating it when movement is detected.

ACSS Griffin MIL G2 Reticle

The ACSS Griffin MIL G2 is designed for shooters who prefer a full MRAD-based aiming system. The reticle combines an intuitive horseshoe and center chevron for fast target acquisition with a detailed MIL grid for precise ranging and holdovers at distance.

Vertical and horizontal ranging stadia allow shooters to quickly determine range and apply elevation or windage holds without dialing the turrets. Unlike caliber-specific BDC reticles, the MIL-based Griffin G2 provides flexibility across a wide variety of cartridges and ballistic profiles.

First Focal Plane Design

The PLxC uses a first focal plane (FFP) reticle, meaning the reticle scales as magnification changes. This keeps the MIL subtensions and ranging references accurate throughout the entire 1-8X magnification range.

At 1X, the illuminated horseshoe and chevron provide a fast aiming reference for close-range shooting. Increasing magnification reveals the full detail of the Griffin MIL G2 reticle for more precise ranging, wind holds, and elevation corrections at longer distances.

Premium Japanese ED Glass

The PLxC features premium-grade Japanese ED glass designed to provide excellent light transmission, color accuracy, contrast, and image clarity.

Its ultra-wide 121-foot field of view at 100 yards on 1X helps maintain situational awareness during close-range shooting, while the 8X top end provides additional target identification and precision for medium- and longer-range engagements.

Compact and Lightweight LPVO

Despite offering an 8X magnification range and a full-featured first focal plane reticle, the PLxC measures just 9.28 inches long and weighs only 16.95 ounces. This compact design reduces unnecessary weight and bulk while maintaining the durability expected from a premium rifle optic.

An interchangeable dovetail magnification throw lever provides additional leverage for quickly transitioning between 1X and 8X.
