The Surefire X300V-B Vampire is a light that combines a white-light LED and an infrared LED in one sealed, black-finished unit. It attaches securely to either a pistol or a long gun using a T-Slot thumbscrew clamp, and it also fits a universal/Picatinny rail mount.

In white-light mode the recoil-proof LED puts out 350 lumens through SureFire's TIR lens, giving a beam with reach as well as surround light for peripheral vision. Switching to the IR mode delivers a 120 mW infrared beam that is invisible to the naked eye and requires no IR filter, making it usable with night vision devices. A no-look, self-locking selector ring lets the user switch between the two modes on the fly, and the unit is operated with a Z-XBC push/toggle switch.

Both the white-light and infrared LEDs are built to be virtually indestructible, so the X300V-B is meant to hold up to the recoil and handling of duty use on a pistol or long gun.
