Hey Freedom Gorillas! Today, we’re taking a close look at how each Holosun optic co-witnesses with the iron sights on the Canik TTI Combat. But before we dive into the details, make sure to check out our fitment guide to see which plates and screws you’ll need to mount each Holosun optic on your TTI Combat. The Canik TTI Combat is versatile, accommodating nearly the entire Holosun lineup.
RMR Footprint Optics
Let’s kick things off with the RMR footprint optics, including the 407C, 407A3, 507C, 507C ACSS, 507 Comp, 508T, and the 509T. Canik makes it easy by including the RMR plate right out of the box. With all of these RMR optics, you'll be able to catch a glimpse of the iron sights. Check out the images below to compare for yourself.
407C / 407A3 / 507C / 507C ACSS
These red dots all share the same body, with the only difference being the reticle. So, what you see here is how they will all look when mounted.
507 COMP
Next up we have the 507 COMP, which shares the same deck height as the 407C/507C, so the cowitness is very similar.
508T
Now, let’s check out the rugged 508T, the only titanium open emitter in the lineup. With its slightly higher deck height, you’ll see a bit less of the front iron sight, but it’s still visible.
509T
The 509T shares the RMR footprint like the other optics we've discussed, so technically, you could use the included RMR plate and stack the 509T plate on top to mount it. However, that’s not necessary. Instead, we’ll be using the Calculated Kinetics 509T plate specifically designed for the TTI Combat. This approach eliminates the need for two plates, allowing for a lower deck height. Unfortunately, even with just one plate, the 509T’s deck height remains too high to co-witness with the standard iron sights.
K Footprint Optics
Now, let’s dive into the K footprint optics from Holosun. All the optics in this section are mounted using a Calculated Kinetics adapter plate. Thanks to the lower deck height, these optics offer a much better co-witness with the iron sights. However, most of them have a smaller window compared to the RMR optics, except for the full-size EPS.
407K / 507K / 507K ACSS
These three optics share the same body dimensions, with the only difference being the reticle style.
SCS Carry
The SCS Carry is the only Solar Charging Sight (SCS) that fits the TTI Combat. If you’re after a great co-witness and want to eliminate the hassle of ever replacing batteries, this is an excellent choice.
EPS Carry
The EPS Carry is a solid choice for those who prefer an enclosed emitter. Its deck height is very similar to the SCS Carry, providing an excellent ability to co-witness.
Full Sized EPS
And finally, we have the full-sized EPS. This optic features the largest window among the K footprint options, which many users appreciate for its ease in quickly locating the dot.
Conclusion
And there you have it—those are all the co-witnessing options for the Canik TTI Combat with Holosun optics. Whether you prefer a more compact setup or a larger window, there's a Holosun option that fits your needs. Remember, co-witnessing is just one aspect of finding the perfect optic, so take your time to choose the one that works best for you.
