Holosun 507 Comp Footprint
The Holosun 507 Comp is an RMR footprint optic. This means it will fit on any RMR footprint slide or adapter plate.
Holosun 507 Comp Intended Use
The Holosun 507 Comp is an RMR footprint optic and a regular sized pistol red dot. This means it is intended for use on any pistol with an RMR footprint or RMR adapter plate. Most of the time this means the pistol will be a full size or compact such as a Glock 19 MOS or a S&W M&P 2.0. Make sure you know what footprint your gun is. The 507 Comp is not intended for and usually will not fit any micro compact pistol like a Glock 43X MOS or Sig P365. For the smaller pistols you want to look at the 507K X2 this is because the smaller micro compact pistols usually come with a different footprint like the RMSc or K series footprint.
The 507 Comp can also be used as a rifle optic, PCC optic, or backup scope optic if you get an "RMR" picatinny or offset adapter found here.

Holosun 507 Comp Review & Highlights
The Holosun 507 Comp is one of the hottest new releases from Holosun and in the pistol red dot market and for good reason.
For years competitive shooters used either the Trijicon SRO, Delta Point Pro, or C-More optic and now the Holosun 507 Comp provides a great alternative to all them. It has a common RMR footprint, and the window size is extremely large. Another big change from other competing optics is its price point and it’s CRS Reticle which gives you 7 reticles in one.
The Complete Reticle System (CRS) uses a series of dots and outer rings to give you 7 reticle options. What we really like also is that the outer rings do not have “hash” marks like the standard MRS reticle, instead you get a perfect circle which we find very pleasing to look at.
The 507 Comp comes with all the great Holosun features like shake awake, red or green reticles, 7075 T6 Aluminum housing, IP67 waterproof rating, side removable battery, and great battery life.
It has manual brightness only and doesn’t have a solar failsafe.
The 507 Comp is a great choice if you are looking for an optic with a very large window. From our first hand experience, having a large window helps you “find the dot” easier since it’s less likely to jump completely off the screen when shooting. This makes for quicker follow up shots.

Holosun 507 Comp Downsides
The only real downsides of the 507 Comp are that it is a little pricey compared to other Holosun options, it doesn’t have a solar failsafe or auto brightness, and it is large.
People do use it for EDC however it is pretty big so if you are looking for something sleek, perhaps checkout the 507C X2 instead.
Holosun 507 Comp Warranty
Holosun has a limited lifetime warranty. Basically everything is covered for the lifetime of the optic except for the electronics, that is covered for 10 years.
We’ve dealt with Holosun’s warranty department and they are easy to deal with.
Also when you purchase from Freedom Gorilla, if you have an issue within 30 days we will replace the optic for you free of charge.
Conclusion
If you are a competitive shooter and looking for the best “competition” optic, then the Holosun 507 Comp is hard to beat. It has the largest window, is the most competitively priced, and gives you the most reticle options. Put simply, it’s the best bang for your buck.
The 507 Comp is not intended for duty or EDC however there are people who run them.
If you really need a larger window pistol optic, this is the largest you will find on the market, with the best track record of performance and reliability.
