TLDR
The Holosun 507C X2 comes in red or green reticles and has the MRS reticle which is a 32 MOA outer ring and 2 MOA center dot. The housing is made out of 7075 T6 aluminum and the footprint is an RMR footprint. It has long battery life, great water proof ratings, shake awake, and a side removable battery tray. The MRS reticle lets you toggle between a 2 MOA dot only, 32 MOA circle only, or both together.

Holosun 507C X2 Reticles
The Holosun 507C X2 comes in both red and green reticles and has Holosuns Multi Reticle System (MRS). The MRS Reticle is three reticles in one. You get a 32 MOA outer ring, a 2 MOA Center dot, and can use just the 32 MOA ring only.
To toggle the reticle, you hold down the "-" button for three seconds and the reticle will change.
The MRS reticle is nice if you want flexibility. The larger outer ring helps you "find the dot" and the 2 MOA center dot is small and precise.
The green version is slightly more expensive.

Holosun 507C X2 Footprint
The Holosun 507C X2 is an RMR footprint optic. This means it will fit on any RMR footprint slide or adapter plate.
Holosun 507C X2 Intended Use
The Holosun 507C X2 is an RMR footprint optic and a regular sized pistol red dot. This means it is intended for use on any pistol with an RMR footprint or RMR adapter plate. Most of the time this means the pistol will be a full size or compact such as a Glock 19 MOS or a S&W M&P 2.0. Make sure you know what footprint your gun is. The 507C X2 is not intended for and usually will not fit any micro compact pistol like a Glock 43X MOS or Sig P365. For the smaller pistols you want to look at the 507K X2 this is because the smaller micro compact pistols usually come with a different footprint like the RMSc or K series footprint.
The 507C X2 can also be used as a rifle optic, PCC optic, or backup scope optic if you get an "RMR" picatinny or offset adapter found here.

Holosun 507C X2 Review & Highlights
The Holosun 507C X2 is one of Holosuns best selling RMR footprint optics and for good reason. For the price and the features you get, it is a tremendous value.
The 507C X2 is very similar to the cheaper 407C X2 however it has the Multi Reticle System (MRS) which most people seems to like a lot. We believe this is mainly because it gives you the larger 32 MOA outer ring and also the 2 MOA center dot, but then it gives you the added flexibility of using only the 2 MOA dot or only the 32 MOA circle.
From personal experience, the 32 MOA outer ring is helpful for “finding the dot” when moving or when drawing the weapon.
In addition to the reticle, the features of the shake awake, side removable battery, 7075 aluminum housing, long battery life, and IP67 waterproof rating make the 507C X2 the leader in the market when it comes to price to value ratio.
The 507C X2 also has a solar panel at the top which gives you the solar failsafe feature which means even if your battery dies the optic will still work (it will use whatever juice it has in the capacitor if there is no direct light). The solar panel also gives this optic an additional “auto brightness” feature.
Personally I find auto brightness mode very convenient. If you are going outdoors to indoors the auto brightness is very handy. The 507C X2 has auto brightness and manual brightness, you can use either mode.
Overall the 507C X2 has just about every feature you could want in a pistol optic.

Holosun 507C X2 Downsides
The Holosun 507C X2 doesn’t have too many downsides. In our Holosun 407C X2 review we compared the 407C X2 to the Trijicon RMR Type 2 Adjustable LED. Since Trijicon just released the Trijicon RMR HD with a similar reticle to the 507C X2 we can use that as a comparison.
If you are to compare the 507C X2 to the Trijicon RMR HD then the only “downside” to the 507C X2 is that the Trijicon RMR HD will beat it in terms of durability when it comes to drop tests. The RMR HD has a patented housing design that is made to absorb drops better than most other optics made out of the same material.
The 507C X2 can still withstand drops, and is still extremely durable but if you compare it to the Trijicon RMR HD or the Holosun 508T X2 the 507C X2 will be slightly less durable when dropped right on its head.
It’s worth noting that the Trijicon RMR HD and the Holosun 508T X2 are both more expensive than the 507C X2.
Holosun 507C X2 Warranty
Holosun has a limited lifetime warranty. Basically everything is covered for the lifetime of the optic except for the electronics, that is covered for 10 years.
We’ve dealt with Holosuns warranty department and they are easy to deal with.
Also when you purchase from Freedom Gorilla, if you have an issue within 30 days we will replace the optic for you free of charge, including return shipping.
Conclusion
The 507C X2 is a great “do it all” RMR footprint optic. You can use it for EDC, competition, plinking, or even duty use.
It’s strong, has almost every feature a pistol optic could have, and does it at an affordable price point compared to other options on the market. It’s backed by Holosuns limited lifetime warranty, and there are so many in circulation that its track record speaks for itself.
