Reticle and Model Snapshot
The EPS Full Size comes in either a 2 MOA dot, a 6 MOA dot, or the MRS reticle, which combines a 32 MOA outer ring with a 2 MOA center dot. All three are available in red, gold, or green.
Holosun EPS Full Size Reticles
The Holosun EPS Full Size comes in red, green, or gold reticle versions. It also has the option to choose a 2 MOA version, 6 MOA version, or the MRS version.
The MRS Reticle Explained
The MRS version features a solar panel, which makes it one of the only options in this size to have one. The solar panel gives it auto brightness modes (in addition to manual) and the solar failsafe feature.
The MRS Reticle is three reticles in one. You get a 32 MOA outer ring, a 2 MOA Center dot, and can use just the 32 MOA ring only. The larger outer ring helps find the dot quickly, while the 2 MOA center dot stays small and precise for more deliberate shots.
How to Toggle the Reticle
To toggle the reticle, you hold down the “-” button for three seconds, and the reticle will change. This makes it simple to move between the ring, the dot, or both together depending on the situation.

The MRS reticle is nice if you want flexibility. The larger outer ring helps you “find the dot,” and the 2 MOA center dot is small and precise.
The green reticle versions are slightly more expensive than their red dot counterpart, and the gold reticle versions — like the EPS Full Size MRS Gold Dot and the EPS Full Size 6 MOA Gold Dot — round out the lineup for shooters who prefer a gold dot’s contrast against certain backgrounds and lighting conditions.

Holosun EPS Full Size Dimensions & Size

The EPS Full Size measures in with a compact footprint that still delivers a sizable viewing window.
Core measurements:
- Deck height: 6.69MM (without RMR plate)
- Width: 1.18”
- Length: 1.61”
- Height: .99”
- Window Size: .91" Wide, .63" Tall
- Weight: 1.2 oz (1.5 oz with RMR plate)
Window Size in Context
The EPS Full Size window measures 0.91” wide by 0.63” tall, which puts it among the larger windows available in the enclosed emitter pistol optic category. According to independent side-by-side measurements, it’s noticeably wider than the Holosun EPS Carry, which comes in at 0.77” wide by 0.58” tall. And it’s also wider than most optics in the Shield RMSc footprint class, which typically run somewhere in the 0.68 “-0.81” wide range depending on the specific model.
That said, the practical difference between the EPS Full Size and EPS Carry windows is fairly modest — about 0.13” in width and 0.05” in height. Still, a larger window makes target acquisition faster, especially during dynamic shooting or when transitioning between targets, and it’s a key reason many shooters choose the EPS Full Size over the EPS Carry for duty or competition use where the pistol’s slide width can comfortably fit the bigger optic. If you want to see the two optics compared side by side, check out our own EPS vs EPS Carry Size Comparison breakdown with photos and video.
Holosun EPS Full Size Footprint
The Holosun EPS Full Size has a modified RMSc footprint, a.k.a. Holosun K Series footprint. Read more about the Modified RMSc vs RMSc footprint here.
RMR Adapter Plate Compatibility
The Holosun EPS Full Size comes with an RMR adapter plate. This means it will fit on any RMR footprint slide or adapter plate.
*Note: The EPS Full Size RMR adapter plate will not work with any “Zev Post” slides. Also, if you plan on using a “plate sandwich” where you mount the RMR plate to another plate for your gun, you may run into screw length issues. Refer to the fitment table below for more information.

Holosun EPS Full Size Intended Use
The EPS Full Size is a K series footprint optic but comes with an RMR adapter plate and is a regular-sized pistol red dot. This means it is intended for use on any pistol with an RMR footprint or RMR adapter plate. Most of the time, this means the pistol will be full-size or compact, such as a Glock 19 MOS or an S&W M&P 2.0.
Checking Footprint Before Buying
Make sure you know what footprint your gun is. The EPS Full Size is not intended for, and usually will not fit, any micro compact pistol like a Glock 43X MOS or Sig P365 without special screws or adapter plates. For the smaller pistols, you want to look at the EPS Carry.
The EPS Full Size can also be used as a rifle optic, PCC optic, or backup scope optic if you get a “K Series” Picatinny or offset adapter found here.

Holosun EPS Full Size Review & Highlights
The Holosun EPS Full Size is a great do-it-all enclosed emitter optic. If you aren’t familiar with enclosed emitter optics, you can learn more in our open vs closed emitter optic guide here. Still, the gist of it is that an enclosed emitter optic fully protects and covers the laser emitter. This means nothing can get in the way of the laser, such as dirt, dust, debris, or precipitation.
Built for Reliability
For those who want the ultimate peace of mind in reliability, an enclosed emitter optic will provide that. The Holosun EPS Full Size backs this up with a low deck height, a large 0.91”-wide window, a variety of reticle and color options, and just about every feature Holosun offers across its pistol optics.

Reticle Flexibility Recap
The Holosun EPS Full Size is a great package. It has a low deck height, a nice-sized window, comes in a variety of reticles and price points, it’s built very sturdily, and has just about every feature Holosun provides in their pistol optics.
You can get it in red, green, or gold reticles and it comes in a 2 MOA dot, 6 MOA dot, or the MRS reticle which is the 32 MOA outer ring, and 2 MOA center dot which can be toggled to use the 2 MOA dot only, 32 MOA outer ring only, or both together by holding down the “-” button for 3 seconds. The MRS version comes with a solar failsafe and additional auto brightness feature.

Mounting Considerations
It’s important to note that the footprint of the EPS Full Size is a “K Series” and that it comes with an RMR adapter plate. This can make mounting a bit tricky, so make sure you know exactly how you would fit it on your gun. Most times the RMR adapter plate works fine, especially if you have a dedicated RMR-cut slide; however, if your pistol comes with a multi-adapter plate system and you stack the RMR adapter plate on top of that, you can sometimes run into issues with screw length or thread pattern.
If you have a platform that requires you to stack multiple plates (which we call a plate sandwich), we recommend getting a “K Series” adapter plate if available so you can use just one plate. You can find the proper adapter plate for your platform here.
Also, it is very important to note that if you have “Zev Screw Posts”, like the Bul Armory Axe or Zev RMR Cut slides, the EPS Full Size will not work because the adapter plate will not be compatible with the screw posts.
The EPS Full Size has all of Holosun’s best features like shake awake, side removable battery, IPX8 waterproof rating, long battery life, manual brightness, and on the MRS versions it also has the solar failsafe and auto brightness.

Holosun EPS Full Size Downsides
The only downside to the Holosun EPS Full Size is its footprint. If it were a dedicated RMR footprint, it would be a little easier to install. However, we know making an RMR footprint enclosed emitter optic is extremely difficult because there isn’t a good place to put the screws.
This is why the Holosun engineers used the K series footprint + the RMR adapter plate.
The good thing is that the RMR adapter plate works great in most scenarios, and there is a lot of aftermarket support, with people making dedicated plates to run the EPS Full Size if you want to eliminate the need for a plate sandwich.
Holosun EPS Full Size Warranty
Holosun has a limited lifetime warranty. Basically everything is covered for the lifetime of the optic except for the electronics, which are covered for 10 years.
We’ve dealt with Holosun’s warranty department, and they are easy to deal with.
Also, when you purchase from Freedom Gorilla, if you have an issue within 30 days, we will replace the optic for you free of charge.
Conclusion
Overall, the EPS Full Size is a great enclosed emitter pistol optic. If you have a full-size or compact pistol and are looking for an enclosed emitter that is tough, reliable, and at an affordable price point, this is the optic for you.
Whether you land on the 2 MOA, 6 MOA, or MRS reticle — and whether you go red, green, or gold — the EPS Full Size’s larger window is one of the bigger reasons shooters pick it over the smaller EPS Carry when the platform can handle the size.
